Ovarian Dermoid Cyst - Laparoscopic Cystectomy

Symptoms

A 32 year old woman presented with a 7.5cm left Ovarian Dermoid Cyst.

Diagnosis

This has been diagnosed during a pregnancy on a pelvic ultrasound. The woman denied pain.

Procedure

She subsequently underwent Laparoscopic Cystectomy.

The Dermoid Cyst is dissected out from the normal ovarian tissue.

The Dermoid Cyst has been removed from the left Ovary.

Ongoing healing of the left Ovary will continue. The normal right Ovary is seen here.
