Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy - Cyst
Symptoms
A 49 year old woman presented with increasing heavy menstrual bleeding and associated pain.
Diagnosis
18 months prior to this she had had her left ovary laparoscopically removed because of a borderline serous cystadenoma cyst.
Procedure
The recommendation is to remove the right ovary and uterus once there are no further plans for a pregnancy. She subsequently underwent Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy and removal of right adnexa.
Outcome
She made an excellent recovery. She commenced oestrogen gel to control menopausal symptoms post operatively.
