Pain Caused by Bladder Endometriosis

Laparoscopy for Endometriosis

Symptoms

A 39 year old woman presented with significant pain with a full bladder.

Diagnosis

A detailed ultrasound suggested a bladder nodule of endometriosis. This was confirmed by a pelvic MRI.

Procedure

She subsequently underwent laparoscopy with removal of the bladder nodule and re-suturing of the bladder.

Outcome

She made an excellent recovery and was pain free.
