Prolapse Treatments Using Mesh

Prolapse

Symptoms

A 65 year old woman presented with a long history of vaginal prolapse.

Diagnosis

On examination she had uterine descent and a cystocele.

Procedure

She underwent Laparoscopic Mesh Sacral Hysteropexy (to elevate the uterus) and anterior vaginal mesh (to treat the cystocele). The operation is 2 hours in duration.

Follow up confirmed the vagina was well supported.

Outcome

She made an excellent recovery.
