Recurring Ovarian Cysts

Symptoms

A 32 year old woman presented with a recurrent left sided cyst. She had had a laparoscopic procedure several years prior with drainage of a large cyst. It is known that cysts will recur if they are drained.

Diagnosis

The pelvic ultrasound demonstrated a 12 cm left ovarian cyst.

Procedure

A Laparoscopic Cystectomy was performed.

Outcome

The pathology revealed a benign serous cystadenoma. The woman made an excellent recovery.
