Hysteroscopy – Polypectomy

SYMPTOMS

A 65 year old woman presented with post menopausal bleeding. 

DIAGNOSIS

A pelvic ultrasound revealed a thickened endometrium (14mm).

PROCEDURE

 A Hysteroscopy revealed 3 large endometrial polyps which were removed.

OUTCOME

The pathology revealed complex hyperplasia (pre-malignant). The woman subsequently had a Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy and removal of both Fallopian Tubes and Ovaries.
