UTERINE SEPTUM - INFERTILITY

SYMPTOMS

A 35 year old woman presented with Primary Infertility.

DIAGNOSIS

She had a Uterine Septum. She had had one miscarriage following IVF treatment. She presented for a second opinion. The Uterine Septum was confirmed at Sonohysterogram (use of normal saline as a contrast to obtain very detailed ultrasound pictures of the uterine cavity).

PROCEDURE

A Hysteroscopy with Division of Uterine Septum was performed.

OUTCOME

The woman went on to have a successful pregnancy following IVF.
