Dermoid Cyst - Laparoscopic Cystectomy
Symptoms
A 35 year old woman presented with an incidental finding of a 6cm ovarian cyst on pelvic ultrasound.
Diagnosis
The classic features of a dermoid cyst were noted. The natural history of a dermoid cyst is that it slowly increases in size. Occasionally torsion (twisting) can result.
Procedure
A Laparoscopic Cystectomy was performed. The pictures show how the cyst is removed. The operation lasts 45 minutes.

The ovary is opened and the cyst removed from the inside of the ovary
