Laparoscopy - Endometriosis
Symptoms
A 40 year old woman presented with infertility. She had had one miscarriage. She had a regular cycle and no pelvic pain.
Diagnosis
Pelvic Ultrasound revealed a 5cm right ovary cyst - consistent with endometrioma. She subsequently underwent a laparoscopy which revealed Grade IV endometriosis.
Procedure
This was all excised and the right ovarian endometrioma removed.
Outcome
She conceived spontaneously within three months post operatively.
Superfical bladder Endometriosis.
Right ovarian endometrioma and endometriosis of Pouch of Douglas.
The right pelvic side wall endometriosis is excised.
Right ovarian endometrioma - chocolate cyst.
The right ovarian endometrioma is removed - and normal ovarian tissue is preserved.
The bladder endometriosis has been excised.
Further excision of endometriosis.
The normal pelvis at the end of the procedure.
